This is the most beautiful beach in Sweden and we didn’t even know because this beach is quite full of world compared to the South of the France beach. On this beach we we are rested, bathed, and played the fresbee for hours.

CAREFUL though because there are strong currents and no one watching swimming. So be vigilant small tides.

At the beach in Apelviken beside Vareberg where we spent the night. The vast beach of sand is sublime. It bathes all afternoon and we played the fresbee in water. It’s funny because the sea descends gently and one has the impression that we walk to infinity. It is also very surprised because the sea is really not cool. It also notes that there is no salt skin so I do the taste test a little seawater and then surprise, it is not at all salty. After will be filled in it was learned that the water was at 22-24 ° C but also the Baltic Sea make it very closed loses its salt.

Kuallaberg nature reserve is a haven of greenery on the edge of the sea. You can stroll in the forest and also to swim among the rocks. On our arrival firefighters there because one of the booths of memories is burning and it makes a phenomenal heat. Firefighters are pretty quiet, they eat ice cream while one sits on the roof and tries to cut the frame using a chainsaw to introduce water inside the House. Great show.
We then take the car to go swimming a little further on a sandy beach. There are very surprised because there is the sandy beach to spread his towel but also a pontoon with markets where people also come to lay their towel and sunbathe wooden.

Discover the Sweden through the Bohulsan

We arrived in Sweden, it is charmed, is not at all as it is imagined, and this country is completely different from the Norway. This is the complete scenery. We have benefited greatly from the sea and the beach to enjoy ourselves and rest us a bit so for this part of the trip we decide together what it has done by regions of Sweden to the West, starting with the North West and down South.

We stop in Tanumshede to go see rock carvings dating back to the bronze age. These drawings in stone world heritage of humanity represents mostly men on boats or animals. The red color is not original but it serves to highlight the engravings. The most famous of these is the brides that represents a man and a woman who embrace.

Our parking space is awesome. It has sea view and at the same time, it is next to the site of soaring. There are pontoons to go in the water, perfect for the bathroom of tomorrow morning.

Hiking in Bessenggen and meeting with 200 wild reindeer

Hiking in Bessenggen and meeting with 200 wild reindeer

Could not exit the Norway without end by a key local: the hike to Bessegen. Good it explodes a little budget just to walk around but its worth a shot (34 euros = parking + boat).
Take the boat in the morning to go starting point of the hike and then going back to the car park on foot. By this side the advantage is that is climbing the ridge of the Bessegen while the other way must be lowered.
1
At 7 o’clock in the morning it is therefore in the first boat ready for the 1100 m altitude difference and 16km. We laugh because all Norwegians around us are equipped like crazy with small leggings or mountain pants, headband ears, any colored sneakers and huge backpack while we one is quiet with a t shirt and pants. It also differentiates families because each in its color code or wearing the same jacket.
Once landed on the earth it rushes on the trail to be first and we begin to climb. Immediately one has super views of the Lake and snow-capped mountains and luck is with us today because it is super nice.
2
We arrive at the most difficult crossing: climbing on the crest of the mountain that offers amazing views of two lakes: a light blue and dark blue. The two lakes are not at the same altitude which is impressive. There is a gap of 500 m between the two. We cling with hands and hop on monte. We do not see the slope past so it is fun to climb. Once at the top the view is breathtaking. It is super happy in all the families of the boat were well measured :).
3
4
We picnic with this view at 10:30 in the morning and continue hiking. On the other side of the ridge the scenery changes completely. It feels like on the Moon because there is nothing but pebbles out of sight. It’s hot and there’s world. We do not regret will be lifted soon.  More one goes and more greenery returned. Nicolas looking wild reindeer with his big zoom but it sees nothing. Began to despair because all those we encounter have seen except us and yet we seek these Rennes four days tirelessly.
6
7
Then take the road down the Norway and in Sweden through the side. Our last chance to see the wild reindeer is to look at the mountains along the road. By chance a man with binoculars says us he sees a herd of 200 wild reindeer on the mountain face. Incredible! 200 really?
It also tells us that one little approaching on foot parking a little further.
8
Neither one nor two runs there. Nicolas distance me widely and fled away with the camera. I try to follow but I lost it in the middle of all these stones. Finally I stop and I waiting for him observing from afar the blackspot move in the snow on the mountain.
9
When Nicholas he approaches closer to the rennes but I think it’s better that it tells the time itself.
Nicolas: “the small hike of Bessegen was a good leg for this race in the tundra to see the wild reindeer behind sought for 4 days. The terrain is not obvious because there are a lot of rocks and swamps without any path. I’m getting closer every fesait attention to be downwind of the reindeer for they do not they can feel. I get to get closer enough almost to hear the cry that they find and it is really a so much magic is. We who are seeking a reindeer for four days for kilometres here is now more than 200 to barely a hundred meters from me. I take advantage of is wonderful moment to watch them and watch how behaves the herd. Something bothers them above and so they run and down to encircle me. It is now a hundred wild reindeer that graze peacefully around me. There are of all colors and sizes. I take this opportunity to make some photographs (well ok 900 pictures in 15 minutes). A female and her calf approximates more and seem to see me. So, I decide to leave so as not to disturb them longer. This time focus will remain forever etched in my memory. “

When to me (Navy) on the way back I hear noises that resemble snores. As I can’t see anyone nearby I wonder what it might be and I see a family of fourths wild reindeer certainly a male, a female and two cubs running and in the direction of the mountain. They stop at the edge of a pissed off and I can see their reflections in the water. My happiness is incredible that I have tears in my eyes, I also I had my wild reindeer. They look at me and then resume their path.
With Nicolas when we meet we share our experience and it’s really great! We can now leave the Norway light heart.
Immersed in life Norwegian in Trondheim

Immersed in life Norwegian in Trondheim

To relax a bit on monte in Trondheim to visit this city but also achieve the interview of Richard Wood, an associate professor in the programme industry ecology of the University of sciences and technologies of Norway. At Trondheim so we eat a pizza on the docks. The atmosphere of the city is very soft. People are not pressed, they take time and there is no large buildings. The city is really a human size. In the centre, the apartments and the cafes and shopping malls are in red brick. Furniture style loft with wooden crates, valves valves with also skins on the back of the chairs where the blankets in wool on the benches. One feels here.

At 5 pm we have appointment with Richard. He welcomes us into her home which is very pretty. There are spaces, little furniture and large windows. His wife and children play ground. He offers to do the interview in mountain bike next to the Lake which is located 5 minutes from home. It’s a nifty idea. It lends to Nicolas a bike and a helmet and it’s gone. The interview is not obvious to achieve because GB pro trembles slightly as Nicolas hold it at arms length and pilot his bike with the other hand. The other difficulty is that Nicolas is Richard must ride close enough one another back in the frame while the path sometimes shrink or monte. In any case they have a good laugh and I think that this interview is going to be great.
Back at Richard it is 18 h and he suggested we stay eating at him because his wife has already prepared dinner. We are quite surprised of the proposal but one accepts a little embarrassed. It updates the table with them, then each used, kids eat with hands short it really is a way to receive different from us but which is too cool. The meal is just delicious on the menu of the chicken with bacon and onions, mashed carrot potato and salad. To accompany this they also serve us beer for dessert and a good red wine of Italy. Discussed everything, they are very open and super nice, we take this opportunity to ask them lots of questions about the Norway and the differences with the France on the themes of the policy than education or the cost of housing. They also advise us to do the Bessegen hike which is a must for the Norwegians and which almost to move on will we see some reindeer. After this very good meal thanks to well Richard and his wife and take the direction of the Park of Jothuneim. On the road it is not to have been able to share this moment with a Norwegian family and it is in this time that we say that travel and exchange with other people is really the best way to know a country.

We saw dinosaurs or rather of Musk Oax in Dovrefjell

We saw dinosaurs or rather of Musk Oax in Dovrefjell

After Rondane it went to Dovrefjell and say: new Park, new chance to see wild reindeer. I know it repeats itself a bit but these are the last populations of wild reindeer in the world who are in Norway, so this animal deserves a little attention (and also because they are the ones who pull the sleigh of Santa Claus). And then, looking for animals is a great way to discover the Park from Dovrefjell and is beaucpup more motivating to a great hike. The morning so it rises very early to go to the viewpoint Snøhetta, to observe the animals. 5 h the Sun was already thrown and the brightness is perfect, the fog dissipating can to can.

Despite the beautiful weather at the Snøhetta is a little disappointed because we see only sheep. Fortunately we met a gentleman who belive big picture material. Asked so or it is that one can have the most luck to see reindeer. He tells us while it takes the bus and climb squarely in the mountain to the Snøhetta. It also tells us that we can see the Musk Oax, these prehistoric animals. It starts so to catch the bus because he there only 3 in the morning. The road that we borrow is closed to cars. With Nicolas, we scrutinize behind our window the roadsides and Nicolas sees a big black heap, it is a Musk Oax, a musk ox. It looks like a big dinosaur, it is roughly the size of a bison, has long hair and two enormous horns. And after our driver this is an incredible opportunity to see this animal on the roadside because there is very little in the Park. Nicolas shoot it with your camera ‘ clac clac clac clac… ” “. All Norwegian bus overturn surprised:-baby which is an incredible opportunity to see this animal, we are there not to like that!

5

6

Once arrived on inquires about the best place to observe the reindeer. We recommend a trail that runs along lakes. We therefore take this path and walking in the snow, then on dan of pebbles. The more we advance, more the landscape becomes desert.

7

9

We pass a lake and can be seen two Musk Oax immune from a cliff. One grazes and one sor. We approach a bit to take pictures, but for fear of is afraid to get doubled by last persons returns on us on the way to be the first to see animals.

10

In pursuing the hiking, we find ourselves quickly surrounded by mountains, surrounded by stones, but there is more a sprig of vegetation. The third Lake passed told is to do a half turn. We therefore get to catch the bus after walking about 20 km.
