Thy national park: part 2

Thy national park: part 2

Thy national park: part 2

This morning we leave to visit the “wind turbin center” at Osterild. It is a centre of the large wind turbine test. It includes 7 turbines belonging to different companies that test their turbines here because this place is subject to very strong winds which reproduce well those that there are in the sea. We are entitled to a private visit with the head of the site, in 4 x 4. He does not wish to give an interview but he answered all our questions and we stop at the foot of each turbine that is photography. This visit was truly amazing and impressive as we have seen the most powerful wind turbine in the world which produces 8MWH and is available in 3 copies. DSC_0221 Then we hurried to go to another appointment to the wavesturbine center (DanWEK) in Hanstholm ou Cristian awaits us. Once there, it is super good received, he agreed to give an interview and even paragliding if conditions are good (which was unfortunately not the case, but he assures us that he will come one day make in the Alps). It explains everything that he made and he takes us to a great place to carry out the interview and have a view over the marine area that the centre uses. Wavesturbine center puts at the disposal of companies or researchers of the sensors in water for the production of electricity from the force of the waves. 20160630_132002 This Christian, quite mysterious is full of resources and we gave a lot of contacts for the project and full of good tips of places to visit and especially booked us a night in a lighthouse. As recommended, we will therefore in the Hanstholm bunkers which are remains of old bunkers built by the Danes during the war to protect themselves against the… but who have never served. These huge caches in concrete are today covered by the sea for most but a few Thrones still on the large sandy beach. It feels like in “Hunger Game”. DSC_0273 IMG_0937 DSC_0260 Some bunkers are tagged: one resembling a shark, another to a hairy snowman. It is very funny and very nice because these tags are well done. Also, we were able to go into a bunker which has a small yellow House that made office room to speak at its Summit. Really cool too! DSC_0316 DSC_0312 IMG_0945Finally, we start looking for the second time in Krondyr (deer) in the great prairies of the national park of Thy. However cannot be approaching and our walk ends at an Observatory because the area is prohibited access to the men. The landscape is extra: forests on the coast, prairie ahead with tall grass a little pink and at the bottom there are the dunes, the beach and the sea. Decidedly, the Denmark have really conquered US. IMG_0964 DSC_0352 The night we get in our Castle, or rather our flagship of Tarnvej (but there are still 4 bedrooms two bathrooms and two lounges nothing that ca) for making detergents. Nicolas hand make the soaring and returning, he realizes that there a tick in the back, woe, it is the end of the world as it looks on the internet all diseases transmitted by ticks and he believes he will die. Good as you are tired, we will fold and will seek a solution the next day. DSC_0001

Thy National Park: looking for animals

Thy National Park: looking for animals

Thy National Park: looking for animals

That night we took a camping with wifi to be able to prepare our itinerary for the next few days. We also found applications for the mobile phone to find out where the different car parks to sleep in the car or camping areas. The choice of camping has also conditioned by my need to wash my hair in a real shower because with the wind and the sea, my head became a real bag of knots. So after woke in the rain in any wet tent and be left with shampoo on the head leaving shower because contrary to what Nicolas said: no shower is not unlimited, for me it will be lasting 5 minutes and not a second more. The road to mount to the North and along the Danish coast is really beautiful. There are small churches and houses perched on hills beachfront. The houses here were all solar panels and there are also many wind turbines.

In the afternoon, after not bad, one arrives in the Thy National Park. Of what you read on the internet, you can see deer, roe deer and fallow deer. It starts so hike u bit at random in the Woods. On the paths we cross many Danish bikers. Nicolas is like crazy to see animals. Can be seen the large ears on the prairies that belong to large hares.

8

The Ballad is arranged to observe animals, there are observatories on which it is possible to climb but we see nothing.

9

10

Suddenly Nicholas thinks he sees a rabbit lying in the tall grass but actually it is a deer. He flees and runs after him but unable to catch him.

11

The night starts to fall so we say that it’s time to go. We find our parked car on a small parking lot enough peace. In the vicinity there is nothing. Only large-legged large cows to keep us company. The Partner is then unfolds to sleep there.

Soaring in Hvide Sande

Soaring in Hvide Sande

Soaring in Hvide Sande

End of the day we arrive at Hvide Sande, a large sandy beach that we had scouted because there are wind turbines on the beach, and this framework is perfect for cute pictures.

1-

Nicolas was so happy out his paragliding to the soaring I think it’s better that it is him who tells you how it was.

1

Nicolas: “I thought the wind was a little bit too hard, but I too want to try the soaring to the Denmark.”. Suddenly I go out sailing, I teamed up with the 2 Karver Kortel and hop it is left for inflation. At the beginning I have a little snatch but I start from the top of a small dune to barely 8 meters high. There I head to the left to take based on the dune and try to reassemble. And there is MAGIC SOARING in Denmark as in my wildest dreams! I course of Km above this small dune, allowing me to discover this beautiful beach and the Danish village hidden across the dune. The people on the beach are not accustomed to see gliders so they are really too hot. I tell myself that should I return to return to Marine but so much that I was happy, I hadn’t realized that the winds were misaligned over the dune makes me fly it back to a speed of 50 km and there at 1 metre soil its scrolls fast. “I ask finally at the place where I had departed and I ask myself next to the magnificent windmills of Hvide Sande we talk about in a future article.

Discovering the island of Mandø in Tracktobus

Discovering the island of Mandø in Tracktobus

The discovery of the island of Mando in Tracktobus

This morning you wake up and as usual out our table and our chairs for taking breakfast beside the car. However we note that passers-by are watching us very strangely and insistently. There are even cars that come to Park to observe us. It is as if from nothing was and we finish eating. Eventually this ‘ is that we learn that we have committed an offence under Danish law. Indeed, if it is allowed to Park motorhomes areas for a night, it is strictly forbidden out of things in his vehicle to install on the public highway, short we know for next time. To visit the island of Mandø, it chooses not to take the Partner because to go on this peninsula it should ride on a road that becomes covered and view at the discretion of the tides and was afraid of too much damage. We prefer to use a single means of transport: the Mandobussen * which is a bus pulled by a tractor. * round-trip price: 7.50 euros per person. Knowing that the go is at 10: 00 or 11: 00 and return to 2 pm.

1

This means of transport can cross the road still wet and salted by the tide without fear of remain trapped by the rising waters. Indeed it is noticeable to arriving at Mando that the tractor is the means of transport of all the inhabitants of the island.

Once on the island is involved in its discovery. On the other side of the sand dunes surrounding the village there is the sea that withdrew large meadows and the sea that retreated slowly leaves last it immense beaches sands where Danes, having shod their boots go for shellfish or oysters.

The other side of the dunes, there is a small village with about forty inhabitants. Here there is only a small supermarket, a restaurant, a church dating from 1727, an old mill and a lot of sheep.

More North Island, houses away and it falls on major fields filled with sheep. It’s amazing how beautiful it is. There is also a huge Hare (and when I say that I’m not kidding) that crosses just ahead of us. It is not very wild air.

Back in the car it starts to visit the city of Ribe and its church. But mostly it returns on the parking lot where it has stayed for see if there is no lost there a plastic piece that holds the passenger window closed. Finally do not found so we’re pursuing our road trip with a small hole in the window and a crack in the windshield. I wonder what will happen to the car at the top of the Norway.

Of Germany to the Denmark along the Wadden Sea

Of Germany to the Denmark along the Wadden Sea

Of Germany to the Denmark along the Wadden Sea

This morning we leave for Denmark, with not a lot of km that lie ahead. We go through Hamburg, just enough time to see the Harbour and the town and then we continue our route. The rain begins to fall. Once the Danish border has been passed, we realize immediately that we changed country. There are main roads surrounded by huge fields where sheep graze. But there are also great beaches with grasses and sand dunes. The first Danish village that we visit is tandoori. In the pedestrian main street, there are many shops and streets perpendicular to it, there are homes. The houses here are not very large. Their walls are red brick and are very flowery. Life seems so peaceful and calm that one would say that time has stopped. On the other hand, we were struck by the stores hours, here everything closes very early. According the guide du routard this is “due” to the fact that to Denmark; country in which people are the happiest in the world; the Danes prefer to spend less time at work and more time at home with family or to do the activities.

1

2

The West Coast Danish we stop on the almost island of Rømø. All West lies a vast white sand beach on which cars can drive, what surprises us a little for a country very protective of the environment. This beach stretches out of sight and it is surrounded by dunes. Many Danes came after work to dip their toes in the water or play bocce ball or light a barbecue.

3

4

We stop pique picnic on a parking area equipped of tables, toilets and it is even the departure of small hikes. It starts so walk surrounding marshy ponds. Vegetation is very similar to that of the Mediterranean with us.

5

Back Romo, found at the roadside stand with honey self-service. As it is greedy we stop. The principle is simple you have to pay in the small box priced and take his pot of honey. We are so shocked and impressed with this system that you buy honey (alala us who had said that it would buy anything to eat on the spot). Amazing how everything here is based on trust and the system with air to function well.

The evening we arrive at parking 48 h that it had spotted on a map and found in Ribe. One station Partner between two camping-cars. Put in place our installation and curious people come to observe us. We of course is super proud, so we place the mattress on our bed to inflate and there, big disappointment, the inflator is flat. Suddenly pending reboots playing frisbee in the parking lot.

Visit of the primary Frankenau beech forest

Visit of the primary Frankenau beech forest

Visit the forest of beech primary Frankenau

This morning we wake up too happy to have finally received the first night in the Partner. Finally for me that felt a bit, it is not so bad to sleep in his car.

1

After breakfast we leave seek gasoline and we find ourselves between vineyards and one sees huge wind turbines. We decided to go see more closely to do a little photo shoot. Nicolas out tandem sailing and makes inflation so I photograph our awesome flocked logos. It’s amazing how wind turbines are great next to Nicolas! And then they are also really silent.

After that, it went to primary Frankenau beech forest which is included in the world heritage of the UNESCO. Choose to make the promenade called Quernest. The trail goes first in an open forest of young beeches and then in a clearing surrounded by trees and arrives at the foot of a hill on which lies a cute little church, all right out of the Lord of the rings so its shape is special. One continuous ride and we venture off the trail in the forest of beeches primary and there is what we see? Black, local boar, which run ahead. Nicolas their short after and me I am preparing to climb to a Beech brackets would not easy because there is no low branches.

6  6-  7

Before resuming the road told themselves that the corner is nice and quiet and it would be perfect for a shower. Nicolas share first with the sprayer. I go there in the second but I can’t get it to work and then passes a Walker. Too cool Nicolas me warns, I’m hiding in the trees and welcomes the hiker with his towel, like a Monday.
