The deep geothermal plant Rittershoffen of ECOGI

Today, it tells you all about the first project in the world to directly enhance the heat from deep geothermal within an industrial process at high temperature.

A doublet of wells were set up at Rittershoffen to allow to recover to 2500 meters deep geothermal heat. Pipes can carry heat up the bio-refinery of Beinheim (Roquette Frères).

Central now allows to recover thermal 24MW from the heat contained in the warm waters flowing naturally in fractured formations of the Rhenish ditch.
