Marcher sur la langue du troll à Trolltungua

Today huge hike: 1000 m of altitude and 22 km went back and all this in maximum 10-12 h.

DSC_0612

OK, I can assure you that on paper and see the head people who back this hike does not dream. It’s a bit like going to hell: work or die. So after having nightmares all night, Nicolas pulls me from the bed at 4:30 to be first on the road.

After a rude awakening we attack the 1st rise at 5:30. Markets climb in rock. It’s hard because ca climbs for 2 km. It is 400 m difference in 30 minutes. You’re too thoroughly. We double full of people on the way and this hike turns into a real race. But we still take the time to make like mat in fort Boyard, there are each performed km with the fingers.

DSC_0646

The last two km are the hardest. Nicolas double me and short front to see the language of the troll. Are mounted between the pots (full of small lakes in large pebbles stone) and then after a passage in the snow here we come. There, the view is magical and more was set a small record: it is these 1000 m of difference in altitude and 11km in 2 H 56! Less 3 h are too proud because Norwegians from the previous day told US put 7 h to make the return went.

As we morning, there still not many people on the language of the troll.  We will therefore wander above. It is very impressive! It overlooks the fjord of so high it’s crazy.

20160707_091948

Some photos later we devour our sandwiches because we have a mega hungry then is pressed down. Always in our optics to a record it hurries to double everybody. The one falls on a couple of Americans met the morning and we start chatting in English with them. He is a doctor and she is dance teacher in a school of finance in Texas. They are very interesting, one speaks of everything: health system, port weapon, education system, good plans in Norway,… It is not the downhill pass. You still eventually of depletion and ends alone hiking.

The arrival has a program nearby and too cool: small shower small beer and laundry. Finally the supermarket is closed and there is no shower. It fell back on another plan: to find a campsite to make everything. We will therefore in a place a little pome and the surprise there is that Chinese cars coming photographed the waterfall nearby. The washing machine does not function properly and the dryer do not talk. But there are two Swiss in the laundry room and they are super cool.

There is also the family of Czech Republic for the 4th time since the Norway its starts to do much. Coincidence? I do not know in any case they are afraid of us because they think that it follows and especially they take Nicolas to a fool because it their application all the time what they have done and what they will do, where they come from… It’s very funny but a little blase especially since they are machines of wars they bonded hiking on hiking.

Seuls au monde au pied du glacier du Buar

As every morning, is up early to leave before the crowd of tourists. Program the hiking of the Buarbreen in Odda. It lasts 3 hours, there are 4 Km to arrive at the foot of the cooler of the Buar language. The path is really great because there are passages on boards, suspension bridges bridges or boulders to climb with a rope. So that is fun to climb, we saw not the time that we are already happened. The hike stops for us meeting point of two waterfalls because to continue further on the glacier, we need mountaineering equipment. It therefore arises on a large rock to admire the scenery.

The glacier is huge and yet we see only a part of the great glacier Folgofonna. It’s amazing, it seems little face all this ice. With these bluish and these cracks, this glacier is fantastic and moves me. It turns and it remains silently observing the landscape until there is too cold.

The afternoon, we go to Tyssedal in the Museum of hydraulics (Norsk Vasskraft og Industristadmuseum). We meet here the communication officer who accepts with pleasure to an interview on hydropic energy in Norway. This very nice lady perfectly answered questions of Nicolas, and then invites us to visit the Museum which is located on the site. There is a turbine… Then the room with all its buttons and finally we look at the tools used to repair that are really huge compared to the average much, what makes us laugh. It must not be easy to use everything. To conclude the visit I takes me a large electrical cable on the foot of the diameter of a fist and I can tell a big IEA, it is sure that it is not the 10 square it.

Levé de soleil sur le fjord au Preikestolen

7-

After a good night on the camping area as it woke very yoyo to go to the preikestolen because it is a very tourist hike. There are 5.5 km and 400 metres in altitude (maybe even a little less).

Is a super plan to park without paying. At that time he did y person on the way too cool it quickly up the steps decorated with large stones.

1

In one hour it is at the top after false hopes to climb and descent. On the preikestolen it has three people who take pictures it’s great. There are also two tents with people who have spent the night here but who are still sleeping. It is photographed, the brightness is perfect.

2

3

4

It also made the acquaintance of a gentleman who is interested in the project in the air to the Earth. He is an Englishman and he can help us by providing us with contacts or much later if one goes in Great Britain. Nicolas also asks questions about the brexit and he gives us his opinion on what has happened in his country. It is very interesting s to tackle such a topic of news with a person who faces is really concerned by this vote.

5

6

Then the crowd began to arrive. We go up a little to have a view on the preikestolen and fjord in the background and we contemplate the landscape. It looks as people who play with their drones to be photograph or explore the cliff.

8

When one goes it is hoped that our car will be still there and that the local pound or the police not will be not passed before us. On the way we cross a couple of french pensioners who challenge us to find out if they are soon arrived. Discussing with them they tell us that they have arranged a Partner to sleep in. Exactly like us. They are on vacation for a month and go there where the wind takes them in the North of Europe. Given the name of the parking application for night which lets us know what are the parking lots where you can sleep.

Come down the police car stops beside our car. Nicolas short and borrows in the car, the police told him could not stay there and that he must leave if she puts an almond. Has close it call and was even not paid.

Take the road in the afternoon to mount in Odda and we stop at the waterfalls on the side of the road. The mountain drips everywhere it is impressive all this water. The evening arrived in the parking lot of hiking the next day we understand that we cannot sleep here because the parking lot is empty. Nicolas made however of the resistance. Fortunately, the owner of the House allows us finally to spend the night here. Again it was too much of a chance.

The afternoon we stop for a small flight for Nicolas to launch nicostarten, I make him the nav.

Hike and fly au Lysbotenfjord

DCIM100GOPROG0393411.

This matte big fat morning until 6:30 take a breakfast rapido and will park at the parking. There Nicolas fills on the spot of paragliding at the top of the hike. Storing too nice tells us that there are shuttles from basejumpers and wingsuit often hyped and that they can show us the deco. At this time the shuttle in question stops, asked the guy to ride with them, and he tells us that he has no worries. On short search our bag and for pay parking and store says “Oh don’t worry for the parking. Too cool 15 euros saved!

The shuttle filed us 200 m above another departure of the hike. The driver tells us to follow the 1 guy front, but it sows from the first climb in the stones. They are fast these baseux. Good we’ll have to fend alone.

The rise is a bit hard because it’s the first big hike of the trip but what reassures us is believed to start per thousand meter in altitude but in fact it has only 500 metres.

Are mounted between the small lakes, there is still snow by location is super beautiful and increasingly there is not many people at the moment, is too cool.

1

2

Once at the top, it must go down a little and walk on the ice to reach the Kjeragbolten, the famous Pebble stuck between two cliffs and overlooking the Lysebotenfjord. It’s a bit ouf walking on the snow in summer and even more crazy to say that one is in a sort of crevice between two blocks of cliff. The arrival is spectacular because just in front of us, there are Pebble. It is too lucky because the small mist that hid a little fjord rises and we can see the turquoise blue of the fjord. Wow, there’s even a rainbow!

5

6

People, (a bit crazy) are going to walk on this rock to take a photo. I’m too afraid but Nicolas goes there.

7

Then it hurries back to unfold our sailing as the mist that rises is actually, in the language of paraglider thermal dating. This is the time to prepare for take-off. Just the time to equip themselves and time changes. So fill our material and we go back down a little.

Time returns to the beautiful, it redeplit then our sailing below and get started!

DCIM100GOPROG0453496.

Navy: “there is also a small audience who is there to watch us take off. ” Many do not know paragliding and are really happy to witness this moment. The flight is incredible! 1000 meters of gas it is very impressive! The fjord under our feet is a bright blue and we can see the reflection of the tandem in the water. It is really crazy to say that we can see the fjord in this way. It seems everything in between these huge cliffs. From up there is also seen fish jump to the surface to eat. Missed us more than a small fishing rod and could catch the evening meal. Also I want too much Nicolas departs from landing because if ever the wind more pushes us, I fear of falling in the water and that looks really very cold. It passes waterfalls and it’s already time to land. But as there is no official landing, we will ask the air of nothing in a campsite. Nicolas made warm above tents and guys down a bit, flippent lest one breaks everything. Once all the relieved applauded camping ashore. »

NICOLAS: ‘ On deplit the tandem for the second time in the day after having unraveled two three knots in the lines (ok a quarantine) and the when even a two-seater glider that is large enough to unfold mainly on a small unofficial above the fjord takeoff but good was a good breeze front, it lifts the veil and it is left for the flight including both dreamed. ” And the magnificent views of the fjord, the cliffs that surround it and stunning waterfalls. The flight is so beautiful that there is no figure for not to lose one meter of altitude and enjoy to the maximum. A salmon we Hi and say that to the nardiablack with a drizzle of olive oil it would as a letter in the post unfortunately Marine who has well enough the gopro and the camera could not take the cane fishing. As usual for these flights landing is chosen in flight after takeoff and anyway once it took off it must be landing somewhere. It is therefore with joy and good humour that be invited to drink on the green grass of the camping of Lysboten. It is the first time that one has a place as nice to fold the sail. Folding and hop it will look for a shuttle. »

12

This too awesome flight performed, is told that it is now part galley, which will start because one must go back stop vans or cars that come here are full. Second stroke of luck of the day, he spends a private shuttle 16 places that offers us back for free. Go hop on monte. On the way the guy is very talkative and happy to discuss with Nicolas while me I do a little dodo. This day really exhausted me, but it is far from over.

13

Back in the parking lot, is expected to pay because store it has changed, but not yet a good surprise it let us go quietly. It n said that there really wants much luck today.

After ate, at the time of doing the dishes one closes the trunk of the car and surprise, key remained indoors and there a self-closing. It is the drama because the double key is also in my jacket, which remained in the car! They say while it takes breaking a window but it’ll be very annoying for the rest of the trip… Fortunately our neighbour camper has tools. I managed to drag my hand out the window ajar and I open the door. Hathaway will make a good dodo.

6

It was decided to go through a spot of paragliding spotted by Nicolas to see if its the fact. We struggle a little to find take-off. Finally after ringing a home the gentleman gives us all the information we need. Need to park at the parking of a hotel mount a little walk and fly to the bottom of a fjord. OK it takes bi gradient, our bags Kortel, our Altitude sunglasses and en route. Come on take-off, I find that there is wind. We hesitate to equip themselves and then finally one goes and then not finally goes and hop we put our harnesses out sailing and it’s gone. And here how say it is chauud!

Navy: “sailing we shoot from the rear and we back but it does not advance. My feet no longer touch the ground, I can’t do anything is at the same time I see a rock at my right hand that is likely to hurt. At this point I think I would prefer falling into trees. Fortunately the wind pushes us and we took off whew! The flight lasts not long but it’s still amazing to fly in Norway. Also hot landing is done on a parking space next to a short truck rich in emotion. More barely touching the ground that it is water issue by Norwegian Syrians it was really too unlikely but awesome as the first day. »

NICOLAS: ‘after a magnificent climb there finally take-off which overlooks the first great fjord seen with a wonderful brightness. Takeoff is super beautiful but there is a little wind and it is a bit through. We therefore say that it is pointless to unpack everything a small splash and then after two minutes of descent you say that in fact if. Unpacking the equipment, I hang Navy and made a face veil inflation. There it is done well snatch and you end up 5 meters behind but with the veil over the head. I put a little bit of brake and we took off. This is the first flight in the land of the fjords, is super nice and it’s really worth. There are not a lot of wind at the time on “crab” until the landing. I wanted to land on the football pitch but a guy in blue makes me great signs.  I think while it tells me that it is forbidden to land on this ground, but then, we learn that it was just super glad to see a paraglider. At the time we choose a small parking lot side who will be our airstrip. Fortunately, Navy tells me that there was a small van below because to two lines closely we took. Landing is easy enough because just put above the parking lot because the wind is so strong that we go down without advance. After landing a ten person comes us and ask us questions. These are in fact are Syrian refugees who are super happy to see a paraglider and especially to be in Norway. This is an incredible opportunity to meet to learn more about their journey from the Syria and how they landed here. They are super cool, very interesting and they invite us to eat at home at night but must be back on the road to go to hike the next day so we begin to stop without knowing if it will work. After a decade of cars, two young Norwegians in a red Audi stop and we go back to the point of take-off. This is perfect!!! Talking with these two students, they tell us that there is a system of loan by the Norwegian Government to enable them to receive “monthly pay” during their studies (approx. 1150 euros). This loan may not be repaid if they graduate. Big pressure! ».

Arrivée en Norvège par le Ferry

Come by boat * at 1 p.m. in Norway, the first thing that it does is very original, yes we call local emergency to determine if you can go show the Nicolas tick bite. Response of a doctor no it is not worth unless you are sick:-are you sick? Nicolas reply:-not so no doctor for you receive. Good we are reassured, we leave quietly picnic on a highway area or very curious Norwegians come squarely to watch in our trunk. They are worse that the Germans said so.

We visit Mandal, first village recommended by the guide du routard. It looks nice but is not phew not more. Us what you want to see it is a village at the edge of water with lots of small red and white houses. There was only asking because by continuing to roll, landscapes surprise us more and more. There is water everywhere (too great free showers). In the form of seas, lakes or rivers with small islands of forests, it’s superb!

1

2

3

4

On the road, it was decided also to go through a spot of paragliding spotted by Nicolas to see if its the fact. And hop first tandem flight in the land of the Fjords (see article).

After our flight, continue to roll direction instead of hiking the next day: departure to the Kjeragbolten. The road is sensational and I weigh my words! There are small lakes everywhere, that goes then that goes down and there are also large bends it is truly splendid. We stop make photos, there are Whitecaps everywhere. Short is chosen a great place to park for the night and be in the starting blocks for the hike of the next day.

8

Just lying means noise around the car. At the beginning you wonder what it is (I thought it was fireworks for the victory of France against the Ireland) but not understood with the sound of a Bell that in fact they are sheep who is concerned to tap our alloy wheels. Too much bling bling these sheep!

A Skagen : lieu de rencontre de deux mers

2
 1

Skagen and specifically Grenen need to walk a few minutes on the beach to get to the point most northern Denmark ou the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet. There’s not much to see as this place is rather symbolic and above all very touristy, but we regret not to have done so because the very rough seas lets guess that waves come from the left and the right. There are also two different colors in the sea which could make us believe that the turquoise blue sea is the North Sea and the more dark blue sea, the Baltic Sea (good agree it takes a little imagination to think about it).

On the beach, it is sought amber which is a fossil tree SAP prisoner in a pebble and back on the beach by the waves. With Nicolas there are many stones that are in our Amber but as we don’t really know what it is, it is quite possible that our loot either in does that single pebbles.

4

3

5

Then it went to the lighthouse in Hirsthals. There is a lot of wind at the top so one goes for looking for a place to plan our arrival in Norway.

6

7

Evening Nicolas cooking us rice (said like that this episode seems silly but actually it is very funny). There are enough hungry so done us to cook half of package rice 500g mushrooms (which is huge, even in Thailand I believe it has not ate so much rice in 1 day two). In short we are left with a pot overflowing with rice, before the Germany-Italy euro match while all others are beer.

Thy national park : partie 2

This morning we leave to visit the “wind turbin center” at Osterild. It is a centre of the large wind turbine test. It includes 7 turbines belonging to different companies that test their turbines here because this place is subject to very strong winds which reproduce well those that there are in the sea. We are entitled to a private visit with the head of the site, in 4 x 4. He does not wish to give an interview but he answered all our questions and we stop at the foot of each turbine that is photography. This visit was truly amazing and impressive as we have seen the most powerful wind turbine in the world which produces 8MWH and is available in 3 copies.

DSC_0221

Then we hurried to go to another appointment to the wavesturbine center (DanWEK) in Hanstholm ou Cristian awaits us. Once there, it is super good received, he agreed to give an interview and even paragliding if conditions are good (which was unfortunately not the case, but he assures us that he will come one day make in the Alps). It explains everything that he made and he takes us to a great place to carry out the interview and have a view over the marine area that the centre uses. Wavesturbine center puts at the disposal of companies or researchers of the sensors in water for the production of electricity from the force of the waves.

20160630_132002

This Christian, quite mysterious is full of resources and we gave a lot of contacts for the project and full of good tips of places to visit and especially booked us a night in a lighthouse.

As recommended, we will therefore in the Hanstholm bunkers which are remains of old bunkers built by the Danes during the war to protect themselves against the… but who have never served. These huge caches in concrete are today covered by the sea for most but a few Thrones still on the large sandy beach. It feels like in “Hunger Game”.

Some bunkers are tagged: one resembling a shark, another to a hairy snowman. It is very funny and very nice because these tags are well done. Also, we were able to go into a bunker which has a small yellow House that made office room to speak at its Summit. Really too cool!

Finally, we start searching for the second time in Krondyr (deer) in the great prairies of the national park of Thy. However cannot be approaching and our walk ends at an Observatory because the area is prohibited access to the men. The landscape is extra: forests on the coast, prairie ahead with tall grass a little pink and at the bottom there are the dunes, the beach and the sea. Decidedly, the Denmark have really conquered US.

The night we get in our Castle, or rather our flagship of Tarnvej (but there are still 4 bedrooms two bathrooms and two lounges nothing that ca) for making detergents. Nicolas hand make the soaring and returning, he realizes that there a tick in the back, woe, it is the end of the world as it looks on the internet all diseases transmitted by ticks and he believes he will die. Good as you are tired, we will fold and will seek a solution the next day.

Thy National Park : à la recherche des animaux
That night we took a camping with wifi to be able to prepare our itinerary for the next few days. We also found applications for the mobile phone to find out where the different car parks to sleep in the car or camping areas. The choice of camping has also conditioned by my need to wash my hair in a real shower because with the wind and the sea, my head became a real bag of knots. So after woke in the rain in any wet tent and be left with shampoo on the head leaving shower because contrary to what Nicolas said: no shower is not unlimited, for me it will be lasting 5 minutes and not a second more. The road to mount to the North and along the Danish coast is really beautiful. There are small churches and houses perched on hills beachfront. The houses here were all solar panels and there are also many wind turbines. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 In the afternoon, after not bad, one arrives in the Thy National Park. Of what you read on the internet, you can see deer, roe deer and fallow deer. It starts so hike u bit at random in the Woods. On the paths we cross many Danish bikers. Nicolas is like crazy to see animals. Can be seen the large ears on the prairies that belong to large hares. 8 The Ballad is arranged to observe animals, there are observatories on which it is possible to climb but we see nothing. 9 10 Suddenly Nicholas thinks he sees a rabbit lying in the tall grass but actually it is a deer. He flees and runs after him but unable to catch him. 11 The night starts to fall so we say that it’s time to go. We find our parked car on a small parking lot enough peace. In the vicinity there is nothing. Only large-legged large cows to keep us company. The Partner is then unfolds to sleep there. 12 13
Soaring à Hvide Sande
End of the day we arrive at Hvide Sande, a large sandy beach that we had scouted because there are wind turbines on the beach, and this framework is perfect for cute pictures. 1- Nicolas was so happy out his paragliding to the soaring I think it’s better that it is him who tells you how it was. 1 Nicolas: “I thought the wind was a little bit too hard, but I too want to try the soaring to the Denmark.”. Suddenly I go out sailing, I teamed up with the 2 Karver Kortel and hop it is left for inflation. At the beginning I have a little snatch but I start from the top of a small dune to barely 8 meters high. There I head to the left to take based on the dune and try to reassemble. And there is MAGIC SOARING in Denmark as in my wildest dreams! I course of Km above this small dune, allowing me to discover this beautiful beach and the Danish village hidden across the dune. The people on the beach are not accustomed to see gliders so they are really too hot. I tell myself that should I return to return to Marine but so much that I was happy, I hadn’t realized that the winds were misaligned over the dune makes me fly it back to a speed of 50 km and there at 1 metre soil its scrolls fast. “I ask finally at the place where I had departed and I ask myself next to the magnificent windmills of Hvide Sande we talk about in a future article. 2 3 4
A la découverte de l’île de Mandø en Tracktobus
This morning you wake up and as usual out our table and our chairs for taking breakfast beside the car. However we note that passers-by are watching us very strangely and insistently. There are even cars that come to Park to observe us. It is as if from nothing was and we finish eating. Eventually this ‘ is that we learn that we have committed an offence under Danish law. Indeed, if it is allowed to Park motorhomes areas for a night, it is strictly forbidden out of things in his vehicle to install on the public highway, short we know for next time. To visit the island of Mandø, it chooses not to take the Partner because to go on this peninsula it should ride on a road that becomes covered and view at the discretion of the tides and was afraid of too much damage. We prefer to use a single means of transport: the Mandobussen * which is a bus pulled by a tractor. * round-trip price: 7.50 euros per person. Knowing that the go is at 10: 00 or 11: 00 and return to 2 pm. 1 This means of transport can cross the road still wet and salted by the tide without fear of remain trapped by the rising waters. Indeed it is noticeable to arriving at Mando that the tractor is the means of transport of all the inhabitants of the island. 2 3 4 5 Once on the island is involved in its discovery. On the other side of the sand dunes surrounding the village there is the sea that withdrew large meadows and the sea that retreated slowly leaves last it immense beaches sands where Danes, having shod their boots go for shellfish or oysters. 6 7 8 9 The other side of the dunes, there is a small village with about forty inhabitants. Here there is only a small supermarket, a restaurant, a church dating from 1727, an old mill and a lot of sheep. 10 11 12 More North Island, houses away and it falls on major fields filled with sheep. It’s amazing how beautiful it is. There is also a huge Hare (and when I say that I’m not kidding) that crosses just ahead of us. It is not very wild air. 13 14 15 15- Back in the car it starts to visit the city of Ribe and its church. But mostly it returns on the parking lot where it has stayed for see if there is no lost there a plastic piece that holds the passenger window closed. Finally do not found so we’re pursuing our road trip with a small hole in the window and a crack in the windshield. I wonder what will happen to the car at the top of the Norway. 16 17 18
De l’Allemagne au Danemark en longeant la Mer des Wadden
This morning we leave for Denmark, with not a lot of km that lie ahead. We go through Hamburg, just enough time to see the Harbour and the town and then we continue our route. The rain begins to fall. Once the Danish border has been passed, we realize immediately that we changed country. There are main roads surrounded by huge fields where sheep graze. But there are also great beaches with grasses and sand dunes. The first Danish village that we visit is tandoori. In the pedestrian main street, there are many shops and streets perpendicular to it, there are homes. The houses here are not very large. Their walls are red brick and are very flowery. Life seems so peaceful and calm that one would say that time has stopped. On the other hand, we were struck by the stores hours, here everything closes very early. According the guide du routard this is “due” to the fact that to Denmark; country in which people are the happiest in the world; the Danes prefer to spend less time at work and more time at home with family or to do the activities. 1 2 The West Coast Danish we stop on the almost island of Rømø. All West lies a vast white sand beach on which cars can drive, what surprises us a little for a country very protective of the environment. This beach stretches out of sight and it is surrounded by dunes. Many Danes came after work to dip their toes in the water or play bocce ball or light a barbecue. 3 4 We stop pique picnic on a parking area equipped of tables, toilets and it is even the departure of small hikes. It starts so walk surrounding marshy ponds. Vegetation is very similar to that of the Mediterranean with us. 5 Back Romo, found at the roadside stand with honey self-service. As it is greedy we stop. The principle is simple you have to pay in the small box priced and take his pot of honey. We are so shocked and impressed with this system that you buy honey (alala us who had said that it would buy anything to eat on the spot). Amazing how everything here is based on trust and the system with air to function well. 6 7 8 9 The evening we arrive at parking 48 h that it had spotted on a map and found in Ribe. One station Partner between two camping-cars. Put in place our installation and curious people come to observe us. We of course is super proud, so we place the mattress on our bed to inflate and there, big disappointment, the inflator is flat. Suddenly pending reboots playing frisbee in the parking lot.
Visite de la forêt de hêtre primaire à Frankenau
This morning we wake up too happy to have finally received the first night in the Partner. Finally for me that felt a bit, it is not so bad to sleep in his car. 1 After breakfast we leave seek gasoline and we find ourselves between vineyards and one sees huge wind turbines. We decided to go see more closely to do a little photo shoot. Nicolas out tandem sailing and makes inflation so I photograph our awesome flocked logos. It’s amazing how wind turbines are great next to Nicolas! And then they are also really silent. 2 4 3 DCIM100GOPROG0072918. After that, it went to primary Frankenau beech forest which is included in the world heritage of the UNESCO. Choose to make the promenade called Quernest. The trail goes first in an open forest of young beeches and then in a clearing surrounded by trees and arrives at the foot of a hill on which lies a cute little church, all right out of the Lord of the rings so its shape is special. One continuous ride and we venture off the trail in the forest of beeches primary and there is what we see? Black, local boar, which run ahead. Nicolas their short after and me I am preparing to climb to a Beech brackets would not easy because there is no low branches. 6  6-  7 Before resuming the road told themselves that the corner is nice and quiet and it would be perfect for a shower. Nicolas share first with the sprayer. I go there in the second but I can’t get it to work and then passes a Walker. Too cool Nicolas me warns, I’m hiding in the trees and welcomes the hiker with his towel, like a Monday.
Départ pour le tour d’Europe
1 Saturday, June 25, that’s it is the day of departure. After will be lifted early in the morning, you take the road to Strasbourg. We are quite tired because the final preparations of the Partner we were late. In Strasbourg, we have two planned appointments, the first to the Biovalsan sewage and the second 50 km more to the North, at the deep geothermal power Ecogi. To go to the first appointment we borrow a road that runs along the Rhine, and then one arrives before the sewage. Frédéric Biovalsan project manager and Clement the responsible communication of the region great’s Suez) greet us. They are young enough and are very nice. It begins with a visit to the purification and for this station, they bring us two helmets and safe-shoes which are the minimum required for our security. We first meet the people working in the station, they show us their control computers, and then continues visit to see the different stages of the treatment of sewage, their transformation into bio-methane and finally its re-injection into the power grid. Frédéric is really an enthusiast because it explains very well and answered all our questions. For example, it tells us that the Biovalsan project is the first to set an example for the transformation of wastewater in power in France. It also tells us that today ‘ today there are 10 sewage which will operate on the model of it. After the visit, Nicolas carries out interviews with Clement who presents overall what is the project Biovalsan and Frédéric which deals with the more technical part. 2 3 We take the road to get to Central of geothermal energy deep 50 km more to the North. The researcher, Jean Schmittbuhl that we are going to interview us requests half-hour appointment because it’s raining out and we advise to visit the pottery from Betschdorf. It then starts looking for a pottery workshop without imagining that one would fall on the funny of the potters. We therefore enter in the first store of pottery that we see and we look at the pottery. They are grey and blue, the Potter explains that they are made by him and that the clay is special because it comes from the banks of the Rhine. There, he explains also that the Rhine falls to the North and it explodes with laughter. As he laughs we laugh also and there he laughs even harder then it stops u blow and tells us ‘- but it makes you laugh? ‘… short a great moment. Then he visit his workshop, Nicolas proposes to interview him and he replies “he gives more interviews for personal and family reasons”. To finish the story he also wanted to make me a clay facial mask. Finally, so that it has giggled it buys a little because souvenir pottery were very beautiful but also because he was really super nice. 4 Back before the geothermal plant, Nicolas realizes the last interview and me I film and I have the note that the researcher develops much more his ideas from the people we met during the above venue where responses were more concise. Which is also great with these interviews is the discussions that take place before or after the shooting because you learn really much, perhaps because the Exchange is somewhat less formal. To close this first day already very rich we take the road to the Germany. We pass the border and found parking which seems awesome to spend the first night in the Partner. Understood in the eyes of the people that this is not really a place to sleep but tampis because anyway, we we do not understand German. 5
